Another missed flight

We missed another flight to Trieste yesterday after being on stand-by. Frustrated and tired to say the least, we complained profusely to the female Lufthansa employee behind the counter 😤 We must have said something right and shortly after, we had flight tickets to Venice in hand, which is about 1 1/2 hours drive from Venice. The flight was due to depart at 16.10, but was of course delayed 😩 Arriving in Venice, the next problem arose. The luggage was not on the plane 😱 This meant we had to wait in another long line to register our luggage as missing at the airport in Venice. It was getting late and the train service was not optimal at this point. So we decided to take a taxi from Venice to our hotel in Trieste. 330 euros 😱 But we didn't care. We just wanted to get there so we could catch our cruise today🙃 When we finally arrived at our hotel in Trieste, it was a couple of tired kids who came to bed way too late. Villads had already succumbed and had to be carried to bed 😚 Today we checked in on the cruise ship and afterwards we went to a shopping center and shopped like crazy. We were missing EVERYTHING from our 3 missing pieces of luggage. When we will see them again is anyone's guess 🤪 One thing is for sure. NEVER again Lufthansa and never have we been so unlucky 🤬 A picture from our upgraded balcony cabin 😎
