Short Ski Trip to Hafjell
A short ski trip to Norway with a flight to Oslo, a rental car to Hafjell and a few good days on the slopes for Jan and the children.
At the end of January, we are taking a short ski trip to Norway. We fly from Billund to Oslo, collect a rental car at the airport and drive towards Hafjell. The drive takes a couple of hours, but gives us the freedom to travel at our own pace and carry all the ski equipment in the car. Hafjell is close to Lillehammer and is one of Norway's larger ski areas. It offers both gentle slopes and more challenging runs, so it should suit us well. Jan and the children will be skiing, while Mette will once again find other ways to enjoy the winter because her knee is not particularly fond of skiing. This will not be a full week on the slopes, but a few concentrated days with as much skiing as possible. We hope for plenty of snow, clear frosty weather and the special atmosphere of the Norwegian mountains in winter. After our final hours on the slopes, we drive back towards Oslo and fly home to Billund. It is a short break, but hopefully long enough to satisfy the children's enthusiasm for skiing.
