We had our usual breakfast, which consisted of a banana shake for me and a watermelon shake for Jan—yum! After that, we took a ride on the motorcycle we had rented the day before. We had read in a brochure that there was a waterfall on the island, so we set out to find it. Unfortunately, we never did. Instead, we explored the other towns on Koh Tao and discovered some really stunning viewpoints. We've been lucky with our trip since there have been absolutely no signs of the rainy season. The sun has been shining from a cloudless sky all day, and wow, are we sweating! When it was time to go diving again, I stayed back at Big Fish Resort. Today, they were scheduled for two dives, which would take quite a while. They dove down to 12 meters, where they saw a ton of corals. Besides that, they also had to practice emergency ascents. While they were diving, Tina suddenly panicked because she couldn't clear her mask. She got scared and wanted to surface, but she couldn't ascend too quickly, or she risked getting decompression sickness. The instructor held onto her so she couldn't come up and helped her clear her mask. He handled it perfectly; otherwise, she could have gotten really sick. In the evening, when we went out to eat, we ran into Tina and Henrik, who were on their way to the doctor because she had a blockage in her ear that wouldn’t go away. It turned out she had an ear infection, so she can't dive for the next few days, which means they’ll have to extend their course by a few extra days. We managed to order some food that was so spicy we couldn’t eat it, so we had to order something else!
