Day of differences 😀 Today we drove from our cabin to the capital city of Ottawa with over 1 million inhabitants... On the way we came across horse-drawn carriages and people dressed in very different clothes😗 Yes, it was actually Canada's answer to the Amish, called "Mennonites" we saw. So we had to visit them😎 We googled that they had a place close by where they sold vegetables. So we drove there... It was super exciting to visit them. We had lots of questions... some were more open than others... But we had some good conversations and it was exciting. "Mennonites" live without TV, car, internet, electricity, without any electronics, have their own school and dress like extras in the old town of Aarhus 😋 So a life like in the 1800s 😎 We were not allowed to take pictures of them, so we only got a picture of their cash register in the vegetable shop and the horse carriage 😎 Close to the capital Ottawa, we stayed at a motel in Gatineau. On our side of the river the main language is French, on the other side in Ottawa the main language is English. Yes, we are in Canada🤔 A day of contrasts...
