50 km/h to Agra

Last night was filled with plenty of Bacardi Breezers, so we woke up with heavy heads. Today, we were off to Agra, excited to see the beautiful Taj Mahal. But first, we had a 5 and a half hour bus ride ahead of us, costing 136 rs per person, that we needed to get through. The distance to Agra isn't that far, but due to the poor roads and the many animals on the way, the bus can only average about 50 km/h. :) By around 4 PM, we finally arrived in Agra, where we checked into the Tourists Rest Guesthouse, which only costs 350 rs per night. After the long bus ride without any food all day, we grabbed a quick bite at the hotel before showering and heading out to explore the city and find a nice restaurant for dinner. Freshened up, we made our way to the lovely 5-star Hotel Sheriton, which was supposed to have a great buffet for just 650 rs per person. The surroundings at the hotel were top-notch. There was a beautiful long entrance with fountains and flowers. The decor of the hotel was also very impressive. There were four restaurants in total, and as mentioned, we opted for the buffet. It featured dishes from India, China, and Italy. They even had beef, which is quite unusual here in India. Everything tasted great, and we enjoyed our meal immensely since we hadn't eaten much all day. Afterward, we headed back early because we wanted to wake up for the sunrise over the Taj Mahal the next day.
