Weekend in Dublin

Weekendtrip to the capitol og Ireland - Dublin. Lots of pictures from a pubcrawl.

Ireland is Ryanair's hometown. But that' is not why we went to Dublin. The city oozes of history with its old buildings, churches and bridges. Trinity College also contributes to the beautiful but old character of the city. It is also a famous educational institution with large libraries and the place where yuo can see the famous "Book of Kells". Baggot Street is the place with the most Georgian houses preserved. Tt is certainly worth a walk. Ha 'Penny Bridge is a dazzling old bridge which has retained its name long after the duty on the River Liffey is abolished. The bridge connects the Temple Bar with the northern part of the city. The biggest attraction is probably Guinness. One should not believe that beer is cheaper here just because it origin is Irish. Nothing can be compared to the many, many Irish pubs that are located all over the capital. It is also possible to visit the Guinness brewery. The concentration of bars is greatest in the area known as Temple Bar. Many locals and tourists have found their way down here for which reason it is always busy. For a quieter bar, you need never to look far. Just look around the next corner and you will spot a new pub.
