New Year's Ski Holiday in Andorra

🌟 Recently, we went on a 5-day holiday around New Year's! 🌟 We flew from Billund to Barcelona and rented a car for the entire trip to make the most of our adventure. 🚗 Our itinerary included spending 3 days in Andorra, a small country nestled in the Pyrénées mountains, followed by a couple of days in Barcelona, where we celebrated New Year's Eve! 🎉 **Andorra – A Mountainous Destination** 🏔️ Andorra is perched high in the Pyrénées and is renowned for its excellent skiing in winter and hiking in summer. We spent 3 days here, where the kids tried skiing for the first time and attended ski school. It was an amazing experience, and they picked it up quickly! ⛷️ Prices in Andorra are roughly the same as in Denmark, making it a relatively expensive destination. The primary language spoken is Spanish, and we were a bit surprised that many people didn’t speak much English. On the bright side, it was very easy to get around in our rental car, as the roads are well-maintained and easy to navigate. 🚗 Andorra is definitely recommended for those who love nature and outdoor activities – it was a truly great trip, and we saw and experienced so much during our 3 days there. After Andorra, we spent a couple of days in Barcelona, where we celebrated New Year's Eve and enjoyed the vibrant atmosphere of the city. 🎆 I've attached a breakdown of the costs. 💶 **Cost Breakdown:** ✈️ **Flight Tickets:** • Billund to Barcelona round trip • 1300 DKK per person (including 3 checked bags) 🚗 **Car Rental:** • Rented car for 5 days: 1066 DKK (213 DKK per day) • Permits: 20 euros per day to drive into Andorra 🏨 **Accommodation:** • 27/12/2024 – Holiday Inn Express Molins de Rei, Barcelona: 665 DKK • 28/12/2024 – 30/12/2024 – Apartamentos Xixerella Park Resort, Andorra: 1197 DKK per night (3 nights) • 31/12/2024 – Novotel Barcelona Cornellà: 1296 DKK ⛷️ **Skiing for the Kids:** • Ski school, ski rental, and lift pass: 800 DKK per child per day
