Frequent-Flier-trip to Zürich

We have earned a great deal of points from our trips with the companies in Star Alliance Group. This is the reson why we are spending a weekend in Zürich in Switzerland. Zurich has almost 400.000 citizens and is the country´s financial center. The capital is nicknamed "zu reich" meaning "too rich" which describs the city perfectly. The capital is really very rich for which reason the prices are high. The streets are full of expensive and fashionable cars. However, Zürich is also much more than just money. The city is situated beautifully around a lake with views of the Alps cowered in snow. The old town has narrow streets with innumerous restaurants and bars. When you visit the city you should try some of the country's national dishes. Look for the cheese fondue , raclette and potato rösti served as accessory to different dishes. There is a wide range of national as well as international restaurants in the city, however, expect prices to be a little higher than other western European countries. Zurich is expensive! Zurich is a beautiful city to visit all year. The average daytime temperature in the summer from June to September is about 20-25 degrees celcius and a perfect time for swimming in Zürich lake. Zürich is great for skiing during the winter season from November to March. Also be sure not to miss the participation in the city's Easter party which is held each year on the third Monday in April.
