Plovdiv

We have moved on from the winery in Starosel to the city of Plovdiv. Here we are exploring the old town before heading to the coast tomorrow. Bulgaria is a remarkably inexpensive country, but also a country of contrasts. The countryside in particular is very poor and underdeveloped. Everywhere you see dilapidated houses and people travelling on horseback.
